Cookies on Buildner BIM
Cookies are small records saved in your browser. Buildner BIM uses two necessary first-party cookies and, unless you switch it off, the two Google Analytics cookies listed below. None of them contains project files or tool inputs.

Separate websites. Separate choices.
These cookies belong to the BIM website’s host only. They are not set on the parent bnr.ac domain. Buildner BIM does not read or change the bn_tools_consent, bn_tools_privacy or Analytics cookies used on Buildner Tools. A choice on one website does not count as a choice on the other.
Analytics: on unless you switch it off
Google Analytics 4 runs on Buildner BIM from the first page you open, including the entry notice, and before you save a cookie choice. It counts visits, page views, referral sources and which tools are opened. It does not receive your project files, the content you enter into a tool, or your name and email address. Google’s handling of IP addresses depends on your region; see the Privacy & cookie policy, section 9.
Reject optional, or switching off Analytics under Choose settings, stops it: the website tells Google that analytics storage is denied, sets Google’s opt-out flag for this property and removes the _ga cookies. Your saved choice keeps Analytics off on every later page for 180 days on this browser. Switching it back on starts measurement again. Accept all keeps Analytics on, and Save preferences follows the Analytics switch.
No advertising service is installed. Meta Pixel is not active, Google Signals and advertising personalisation are switched off in the Analytics setup, and the tools do not save project files or pasted data in local storage, session storage or cookies. They work in the current tab; download anything you want to keep. A future optional service would be explained and require a fresh choice where consent is needed. Accepting the tool-use notice does not change your Analytics choice and does not authorise advertising.
Your controls
You can also reopen the panel from the footer. Closing it without saving does not make a choice; until you save one, Analytics stays on. You must save a BIM cookie choice and acknowledge the tool-use notice, terms and policies before using BIM pages or tools, including through direct links. The entry notice and legal documents remain readable before acceptance. The preference stays in this browser on this website for up to 180 days.
You can inspect, block or remove cookies in your browser settings. Removing the acknowledgement cookie brings back the entry notice. Blocking it prevents the website from remembering your acceptance and entering the tools. Blocking the preference cookie prevents the website from verifying your choice and entering the tools; it also means the website cannot remember that you switched Analytics off. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on that works on every website.
Deleting a cookie does not automatically delete the separate server-side acknowledgement record, or data Google has already received. For details about those records, submitted reports, retention and your rights, read the Privacy & cookie policy.
